Theora ran her fingers over the necklace. “Sweeten the deal like that

and I’ll consider having twins.”

Barro laughed. “Twins would be a good omen. I’ll see what I can do.”

She stood on tiptoe and kissed his cheek.

At that moment, the doors opened and Saeran walked in to see her pull

away from him. Barro locked eyes with the other man and saw mixed

emotions tread across his face. Theora pulled away and looked at Saeran.

“My, my…is this him?” She rushed over to Saeran and walked around

him.

Barro gritted his teeth. “Yes. Theora, this is Saeran.”

Saeran smiled at his wife. “It’s nice to meet you. You must be Barro’s

wife. He’s mentioned that you’d be returning home.”

Theora ran her finger along Saeran’s arm and then squeezed his bicep.

“Oh, he’s yummy. You willing to share?”

“Sorry, as beautiful as you are, nothing you have interests me,” Saeran

commented.

She laughed. “Barro, I think you found a perfect match. I’ll leave you
